A leap second is like wasting time but that happened with spare time before 12:00 PM. A leap second happens in a few years because mismatch from the Earth's rotation. Instead of going straight to the 0 till the next hour it went to 60. This is the spare second 11: 59: 60. We never see this on our clock. That might happen on your clock too. That also happened to old fashioned clocks. When the big hand pointed. It stayed at the 12 for 1 second. What a weird day that has been!!!
